You only pay for the climate impact you fund through the API. There's no separate platform fee to use it, and the Reporting API (which reads your impact totals) is free.
Prices depend on the impact type (tree planting, country-specific trees, carbon avoidance, carbon removals or habitat restoration) and your currency. For the current per-unit rates, see the pricing table in the API docs at docs.ecologi.com.
How billing works
- Purchases are billed monthly, on the 1st. Impact shows as pending on your profile until the payment succeeds.
- There's a minimum billable amount per invoice; smaller purchases roll over to the next one.
- You can track your usage and total spending at any time under Integrations - Usage.
Tip: set the test flag (test: true) on any purchase request to trial it without being charged.
Seeing pending impact
Impact you fund through the API accrues as pending during the month and is confirmed once your invoice is paid on the 1st. Pending impact is now shown everywhere in the app - on your public profile and your logged-in pages, including your impact history - marked with a clock icon and a tooltip explaining it will update once funded.
Your CSV impact export always includes pending impact too: every row has a Pending column (Yes / No), and the totals show both amounts (for example, 'Total reforestation: 200 trees funded, 1 pending').
