Easily update your tree planting limit so you can keep planting without interruption
You can increase your monthly tree planting limit at any time. This gives you more room to plant trees with each order without hitting your cap too early in the month.
What your limit does
When you set up the Ecologi Shopify app, you choose a monthly tree planting limit. This sets the maximum number of trees you can plant in a single billing cycle.
Once your spend reaches that limit, tree planting automatically pauses. It will start again when your Shopify billing cycle resets.
In the app, you’ll see:

Your current monthly limit (for example, 500 trees)

What that limit would cost if fully used

How much you’ve spent so far this period

When your limit will reset
You’re only ever billed for the trees linked to actual sales.
How to increase your tree planting limit

Go to your Shopify admin settings.

Open the Plant Trees with Ecologi app.

Scroll to Tree planting limit settings.

Enter a higher monthly limit (for example, change 500 to 1,000).

Select Save.

You’ll be redirected to Shopify’s authorisation page — approve the change.

You’ll return to the app and see your new limit confirmed.
Good to know

The number you enter is a cap, not a fixed charge.

Planting will pause automatically when your spend reaches the limit.

Your reset date is based on your Shopify billing cycle, so it may differ from other stores.

If you don’t approve the change on Shopify’s authorisation page, your limit won’t update.
