Linking your Ecologi accounts (sub-profiles / parent profiles)

Link multiple profiles so that all of your collective impact is visualised under one parent profile

By using our sub-profile feature, you're able to set multiple Ecologi accounts as sub-profiles which sit under one parent profile. By doing so, the impact funded in each sub-profile will be reflected in one account - now that's true collective action!

What do the profiles look like?

Parent profiles - These look similar to a usual Ecologi profile, however, they will show a summary of the total amount of impact at the top of the profile. The impact forest will include a link to each sub-profile, along with any impact funded directly into the parent profile. 

Sub-profiles - These look exactly the same as a regular Ecologi profile, with the addition of a link to the parent forest at the top of the profile.

Setting up a new parent profile

If you'd like to create a new parent profile to link your existing accounts, then please follow these steps:

1. Create a new Ecologi profile by following this link (it's free!). Note: you will need to use a different email address than one already linked to an existing Ecologi account to setup
2. Contact the customer success team via the chatbot on our website and let them know the following:
   1. The username / email address linked to the parent profile
   2. The username / email address linked to each sub-profile you'd like to add

Setting up a new sub-profile

If you're looking to link sub-profiles to your existing Ecologi account, then please follow these steps:

1. Create your new sub-profiles. Each sub-profile is a separate Ecologi account and can either be a subscription or an Impact Only account.

2. Contact the customer support team at support@ecologi.com and let them know the following:

   1. The username / email address linked to the parent profile
   2. The username / email address linked to each sub-profile you'd like to add

FAQs

Will linking an account move the impact from the sub-profile to the parent profile?

Short answer - No. The parent profile helps to visualise the collective impact from all sub-profiles, but the actual impact which has been funded will remain within, and owned by, the sub-profile.

How many parent profiles can I link a sub-profile to?

You're only able to link a sub-profile to one parent profile - however, if you need to change this then please message our wonderful support team who will be happy to help.

Is there a limit to the number of sub-profiles that can be underneath a parent profile?

Nope! There is no limit, so please feel free to add as many sub-profiles as you like 😊

I want to set up multiple sub-forests - do I need to contact support every time?

If you need to set up multiple sub-forests, please contact customer support who can create a custom link that will allow new profiles to be created that link automatically to the parent profile.
