Summary
Ecologi Zero ® is focused on small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) with up to 250 employees within the service industry. We will be extending to more industry sectors and larger businesses as we continue to develop the platform.
Who is it for?
Ecologi Zero helps SMEs, with limited access to data and specialist resources, to deliver a robust estimation of their carbon footprint. It will also identify the largest contributors, and provide an expansive approximation including all of their small contributors.
Ecologi Zero may not be suitable for some businesses where the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) has provided sector-specific guidance (such as the power sector) or where a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is required (such as the manufacturing industry).
How does Ecologi Zero work?
The spend-based approach used by Ecologi Zero is fast and cost-effective, creating a carbon footprint from existing data without the extensive time commitment.
By combining the top-down spend-based approach with activity-based data, Ecologi Zero is able to leverage the benefits of both methods to provide SMEs with a robust carbon footprint.

What next for Ecologi Zero?
Throughout future phases of the Ecologi Zero platform, we’ll continue to add features and tools, whilst also extending these opportunities to other sectors and larger businesses.
Our next steps for Ecologi Zero include increasing the accessibility of the tool by incorporating QuickBooks onto the platform, adding 'soft' goals and reduction guidance, and, allowing users in different locations (including the USA) to access Ecologi Zero.
